Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a domestic incident on Redwood Road between 1st Road and Tyler Road near Walkerton on Wednesday, August 23rd at 2:40 in the morning.

During the investigation, it was determined that no battery had occurred, but that the male involved had fled the area on foot. Officers attempted to locate the male, however, were ultimately unable to during that time.

A short time later, officers were advised by dispatch that the male returned to the location. At that time, Officer Wozniak was still on scene and was able to locate 25-year-old Armando Castillo.

Castillo failed to comply with verbal commands and attempted to flee on foot. Officer Wozniak pursued him and was able to contain him in a tall grassy area where he tried to hide.

Additional responding officers quickly arrived back at the scene and assisted in locating Castillo and took him into custody. He was transported to Plymouth Hospital for medical examination and was later transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Armando Castillo was booked into jail for Resisting Law Enforcement and Public Intoxication.  He was held on a $750 cash bond.
