The Town of Bourbon and Marshall County Solid Waste Management have uploaded their 2024 budget notices to BudgetNotices.IN.gov.
The budget notices contain information for the public hearings, estimated budgets, maximum permissible levies, and more.
The Town of Bourbon has an estimated 2024 budget of $1,889,960. This amount includes $1,211,015 in the General Fund, $80,000 in the Rainy Day Fund, $35,000 for Local Road & Streets, $331,545 in the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund, $6,000 for Continuing Education, $40,000 in the Cumulative Capital Development Fund, $20 in the Cum Cap Capital IMP cigarette fund, $26,400 for the EMS Home Rule Fund, $50,000 for the Fire Home Rule Fund, $10,000 Park Department Home Rule Fund, and $80,000 in the Home Rule Redevelopment Commission.
The estimated civil max levy is $1,015,119 and the property tax cap credit is estimated at $166,500.
The Town of Bourbon will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget on Tuesday, September 12th at 6 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers at 104 East Park Avenue. The adoption hearing will be in the same location on September 26th at 6 p.m.
Marshall County Solid Waste Management has presented a special solid waste management budget for 2024 in the amount of $483,155. The estimated civil max levy is $408,483 and the property tax cap credit is estimated at $16,600.
The public hearing on the proposed budget for Solid Waste will be held on Thursday, September 14th at 9 a.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building and the adoption will be on October 12th in the same location at 6 p.m.
