During Monday’s County Commissioner meeting, Commissioner Stan Koltz asked Commissioner Mike Burroughs if he could attend a meeting on Thursday to discuss the Special LIT (Local Income Tax).
Commissioner Burroughs said his understanding was that the Special LIT could not be lowered at this time and therefore he wasn’t sure there was a need to discuss the Special LIT.
Commissioner Klotz stated that the commissioners and council members need to start identifying ways to take care of the expenditures at the jail for future budgets and share suggestions.
Commissioner Burroughs was agreeable, and a public work session has been called for this Thursday, August 24th at 4 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building. This work session will be open to the public and available online.
