The Marshall County Drainage Board and County Commissioners will meet Monday morning, August 21st at 8:30 and 9:30 in the second-floor meeting room of the County Building.
The county drainage board meeting has a very short agenda. Members will consider a proposed re-route of the Heckaman Tile, approve last month’s meeting minutes, and open the floor for public comments and other business.
The Commissioners will begin at 9:30 with Highway Superintendent Jason Peters. Dale Blanch will express some road concerns he has and Janis Holiday from the Council on Aging will request approval of a voucher to purchase a new van.
County Plan Director Ty Adley will be back with 2nd reading of an ordinance creating a Planned Unit Development, PUD, for 3919 North Michigan Road, the shipping container residential development while Sheriff Matt Hassel will discuss the 9-1-1 services agreement with INDigital.
The County Commissioners will hear from Deb VanDeMark and Syracuse Attorney Jason Kuchmay on the request for a moratorium on large-scale solar projects in the county until the current ordinance can be reviewed and modified to protect the citizens. County Clerk, Jenny Bennitt will present an addendum to the SBS contract, and County Attorney Jim Clevenger and Auditor Angie Birchmeier will give their reports.
The commissioners also offer a chance for Public Comments.
