On Wednesday, August 16th at 7:30 p.m. an officer with the Plymouth Police Department was on patrol on US 30 and observed a speeding vehicle westbound on US 30 from Oak Drive.

The officer was able to conduct a traffic stop in the area of US 30 and Pioneer Drive.  The driver was identified as 32-year-old Yeibert Flores-Colina of Chicago.  It was determined that Yeibert had never obtained a driver’s license.  He was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Operator Never Licensed.

Flores was able to post a cash bond an hour later and was released. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
