West Township Trustee Terry Borggren has uploaded the 2024 budget notice to BudgetNotices.IN.gov. The budget notice contains the date, time, and location for the taxing unit’s public hearing on the proposed budget; the estimated budget; the estimated maximum permissible levy; the current and proposed tax levies of each fund; and the amount of excessive levy appeals to be requested.
The West Township Advisory Board will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, September 7th at 5 p.m. at 10268 Carriage Court in Plymouth. The 2024 budget adoption meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 28th at 5 p.m. in the same location.
The estimated civil max levy for West Township is $12,053 and the estimated Fire Max Levy is $267,457 with the property tax cap credit estimated at $3,900.
Next year’s budget totals $1,210,399. The Rainy-Day budget estimate is $720,000 while the General Fund is $122,339. The Township Assistance fund for next year is $20,000 with the Township Fire and EMS fund at $318,000 and $30,000 for the township’s Cumulative Fire Fund.
