A Chicago man was arrested by an officer from the Plymouth Police Department on Friday evening for allegedly hitting a witness to his theft from Lowes with his vehicle.

Plymouth Police were dispatched to 1100 Pilgrim Lane, Lowes Home Improvements about 7:50 Friday after 25-year-old Tekee Russell attempted to leave the store in a vehicle and struck the witness with his vehicle.

Russell went eastbound on U.S. 30 and Officer Bennett with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department located the suspect and vehicle east of Iris Road.

Plymouth Officers Miller and Mark arrived on the scene at U.S. 30 and Elm Road and took Tekee Russell into custody. That is the location where Russell stopped his vehicle.
