Officer Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department arrested a local man on Thursday morning after checking on a suspicious vehicle.

Early Thursday morning, August 10th at about 3:30 Plymouth Police Officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the area of Walnut and Harrison Streets.

A city officer came across a vehicle that was stopped in the roadway and determined that the driver was impaired. During the officer’s investigation, the driver was identified as Jordan Shepard, 30 of the 1,000 block of West Adams Street in Plymouth. Jordan was found to be nearly 4 times the legal limit. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for a felony level Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
