Officer Weir with the Plymouth Police Department arrested 62-year-old Maria A. Alvarez Salinas of the 400 block of West Washington Street Friday morning after she disregarded a school crossing guard.
Officer Weir was assisting the School Crossing at Washington Discovery Academy at about 7:49 Friday morning. While children were still in the crosswalk and the crossing guard was still holding the stop sign, Salinas drove through the crossing.
Officer Weir stopped the female and while speaking with her discovered that she never possessed a driver’s license.
Maria Salinas was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was booked in for Operating Without a License.
