Marshall County Coroner, John Grolich released information on Wednesday morning’s fatal crash on North Michigan Road.
Shortly after 5:30 AM, a small passenger car traveling northbound on Michigan Road north of 6A Road, for an unknown reason crossed the center line and ran off the roadway striking a large brick mailbox stand.
The driver, 44-year-old Shane C. Bolinger of Plymouth was the only person in the vehicle. When police officers arrived, they found him slumped over on the passenger’s side, unresponsive. Police Officers removed Bolinger and started lifesaving measures on him until EMS arrived.
This accident remains under investigation by both the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Marshall County Coroner’s Office.
Assisting at the scene were LaPaz Fire, Union North EMS, Tri-County EMS, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Plymouth Police Department, and Reichert-Knepp Towing Company.
