On Sunday, August 6th at approximately 8:30 in the morning, an officer with Plymouth Police Department were patrolling the area of North Michigan Street and Plymouth Goshen Trail. A green Ford F-150 was observed driving without a license plate and a traffic stop was conducted.
The driver and sole occupant of the pickup, James Campbell, 50 of rural Culver was found to be driving while suspended with prior convictions.
James Campbell was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked for two counts of Driving While Suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years. He was held on a $500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
