The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Watch for counties including Marshall.

A slow-moving and moisture-rich system that has a history of producing rain rates of 1 inch per hour at times is going to cross over Marshall County. Rain totals approaching 2 to as much as 4 inches are possible in the watch area.

Counties in the Watch Area include Starke-Pulaski-Marshall-Fulton-White and Cass.   This watch includes the cities of Knox, North Judson, Bass Lake, Winamac, Francesville, Medaryville, Plymouth, Bremen, Culver, Rochester, Akron, Monticello, Monon, Brookston, Logansport, Royal Center

Flash flooding is caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

IMPACTS include excessive runoff that may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.  

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
