The Plymouth Public Library and Center Township Trustee both uploaded their 2024 budget notices this week. Citizens can access the budget notices at http://budgetnotices.in.gov. A budget notice contains information for the date, time, and location for the taxing unit’s public hearing on the proposed budget, the estimated budget, the estimated maximum permissible levy, the current and proposed tax levies of each fund, and the amount of excessive levy appeals to be requested.
The Center Township public hearing date is Tuesday, September 12th at 6:30 p.m. in the trustee’s office at 510 West Adams Street. Their adoption meeting is Monday, September 25th at 6:30 in the same location.
The estimated civil max levy is $547,572 while the estimated fire max levy is $204,116. The property tax cap credit estimate was $10,300.
The Rainy-Day budget estimate is $455,000 and the General Fund is $354,970. Township assistance for next year has been set at $149,800 and township fire and EMS is $221,316 with the Cumulative Fire fund at $275,000 for a total of $1,456,086.
The Plymouth Public Library will conduct their public hearing on the 2024 budget on Monday, September 25th at 11:45 in the morning at the library at 201 North Center Street. The Adoption meeting date will be Monday, October 23rd at 11:45 in the library.
The estimated civil max levy is $1,576,388 and the property tax cap credit estimate is $109,700.
The estimated General Fund budget for 2024 is $2,515,511.
