Plymouth Police investigate the report of a domestic battery on Tuesday, August 1st in the 900 block of South Michigan Street. 

At approximately 5:20 pm city officers responded and found a female with visible injuries to her head.

As a result of the investigation, 52-year-old Richard Milton of 914 South Michigan Street in Plymouth was transported and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Domestic Battery with serious bodily injury, Domestic Battery in the presence of a minor, and Domestic Battery with a Prior Conviction.  He was held on a $5,000 cash bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
