Plymouth Community School Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Boyer as Business Manager, pending Board Approval. Boyer brings valuable insights and accomplishments from diverse leadership roles in education and the finance sector.
Boyer has a solid educational foundation, which began when he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Education at Manchester University. Boyer then went on to earn a Master’s in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Administration, where he served as a Cohort Leader.
Throughout his career, Boyer has effectively navigated financial management and human resources complexities. Notably, he served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Concord Community Schools, and prior to that, he held administrative roles in Plymouth and Warsaw, along with teaching English for PCSC.

Boyer is presently a part of many professional organizations. He is a Board Member and on the finance committee for ADEC of Elkhart and St. Joseph counties; and a member of the Indiana Association of Business Officials, Society for HR Management, and the Rotary Club. Previously, he has been a Board Member and the Investment Committee Chair for United Way Marshall County, Board Chair and Program Facilitator of Leadership Marshall County, and a member of the Optimist International Club. Boyer’s diverse involvement in these organizations exemplifies his unwavering dedication to professional excellence and his sincere desire to positively impact the community he serves.
Reflecting on his appointment, Boyer shared, “I was fortunate to serve Plymouth students for the first 13 years of my educational career. To have the opportunity to return and serve the community as Business Manager is surreal and exciting, and I’m eager to get started!”
As Business Manager, Boyer will oversee the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities of PCSC. He will file financial reports, prepare budgets, manage grants, handle insurance coverage, reconcile bank statements, and assist in negotiations. Boyer will complete various reports, manage debt service, maintain deadlines, and serve as a point of contact for billing and contractual matters. Additionally, he will ensure a positive work environment and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
Boyer’s expertise in financial management, strategic planning and commitment to operational excellence will be invaluable in driving the growth and success of PCSC.
