The Culver-Union Township Public Library has partnered with Arkos Design of Mishawaka, to draw up a plan to modernize and refresh the library’s interior spaces. A public input survey was recently completed to gather data on how Library spaces are currently used and may be used in the future. Among the spaces being considered for modernization are the library’s children’s room, adult circulation and collection areas, and public meeting spaces. Within the existing building, new spaces such as a designated teen area, a business/co-working space, and private study rooms are also being considered.

The library is seeking input from residents of Culver and Union Township to help inform how the interior spaces are redesigned. A Community Input Session will be held at the Culver-Union Township Public Library tomorrow, Tuesday, August 1, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM in the north meeting room on the lower level of the library. This will be an open house-style session, and community members are encouraged to drop in to offer feedback on the design options presented by Arkos Design.
