On Thursday, July 27, the Marshall County Police Department hosted Chip Dean with Integrity Marshall Arts and his youth group.

Sheriff Hassle taught the group about the history of the Sheriff’s Department and the duties of a Marshall County Deputy.

Demonstrations were then conducted by Deputy Bennett and his K9 partner Diesel, along with the department’s newest addition, Officer Robert Williams.

The students were also shown how the department’s drone works, and the various situations it is used in, by Lt. Detective Les McFarland.

Sheriff Matt Hassel said, “We enjoyed our time with the children and their many questions. Thank you, Mr. Dean, for bringing your group to interact with our officers, and allowing us to display the many tools we use to keep our community safe.”
