The Marshall County Historical Society will host their next Brown Bag lunch event on Friday, August 11th, from Noon – 1:00 p.m. The August Brown Bag lunch event features county historian and popular presenter Kurt Garner. The topic is Hoosier Bridges – Crossing the Past in the Present.

Bridges often evoke deep feelings and spark our curiosity. Garner will speak on bridge building over the last 200 years, with examples from around the State, and highlight many of them here in Marshall County. From steel and covered wood bridges to stone and concrete, learn about some of the more unusual structures found in Indiana, including our very own historic footbridge.

Bring your lunch and join your friends and neighbors for this informative event.  The Museum is located at 123 North Michigan Street in historic downtown Plymouth. For more information, please call the Marshall County Museum at 574-936-2306.
