RockDogs will take the stage in River Park Square this Friday night at 7 p.m. for the second event in the 2023 Mayor’s Months of Music. FREE concerts are every Friday night beginning at 7 through September 1st.
This Friday’s concert features Ed McDermott, a Plymouth native and 1986 graduate of PHS. This is their first performance at the Mayor’s Month of Music.
RockDogs have more than 20 years of experience performing in Michiana, northwest Indiana, and the Chicago market.
Long-time friends, band members include McDermott on bass, Don Mester on drums, Steve Stone on guitar, and Mel Williams as the band’s frontman. These veteran musicians have a common passion and joy for playing live music.
The RockDogs perform music spanning multiple genres from the 60s to new releases. Their shows promote fun, dancing, and a-rockin’ good time for all.
Next Friday, local favorite MGB will be at Mayor’s Month of Music. This party band plays music from all decades, from the 1960s to today.

Those attending the concerts can bring a picnic to enjoy and their own cooler with the beverages they like. There will also be a host of food trucks including Bob’s Cafeteria, Pig in a Pen, Dainty Donuts, Cravo On Tacos, Bailey’s Sweet Kettle Corn, Apex Ice, B & B Vending, Ron’s Dogs, Ben’s Soft Pretzels, Chubby Buddies, and Beary’s Ice Cream with tasty items to purchase. The Marshall County Museum will be a fundraiser selling ice cream novelties for $1 and Marshall County Relay for Life will be in the concession stand with popcorn, candy, water, pop hot dogs, and chips for $1.
