On Friday morning, July 7th, Plymouth Police Officers initiated an investigation after receiving complaints that people were living in storage units located at 510 West Washington Street.

During the officer’s investigation, Kenneth Mattern, 49 years old, and Chelsy Doyle, 32 years old, both from Plymouth, were found living in a storage unit.

Suspected drug paraphernalia was found in plain view as well as illegal narcotics.

Both Mattern and Doyle were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. Each was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and two counts of Possession of Paraphernalia.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
