Plymouth Police were dispatched to Saint Joseph Hospital on Lake Avenue/State Road 17 in Plymouth on Wednesday, July 5th at 1 a.m. for an unruly male subject causing a disturbance in the emergency room.
The subject was identified as 39-year-old Stephen Williams who was listed on the bookings report as homeless. He was known to have an outstanding warrant for unpaid child support. The warrant was confirmed with Marshall County Dispatch and Williams was taken into custody after he received medical clearance from the hospital.
Stephen Williams was transported to Marshall County Jail and held for Contempt of Court for a civil case. He was held on a $42,000 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
