On Wednesday, July 5th at 7 a.m. Plymouth Police were dispatched to the area of McDonald’s on North Michigan Street for a male subject causing an issue.
Plymouth Police Officer John Weir located the suspect, 60-year-old Jan Lemler of West Jackson Street in Plymouth at the Kroger Store across the street from McDonald’s.
Mr. Lemler became aggressive towards Office Weir and the other officers who responded to the complaint.
Jan Lemler was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for two counts of Disorderly Conduct and held on a $250 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
