Plymouth Community School Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren LaFaive as the new Director of Communications and Marketing, effective July 1, 2023. With her diverse background in education and communication, LaFaive brings a fresh perspective and enthusiasm to this vital role. As a Plymouth resident herself, she brings a deep love and commitment to the community, furthering her dedication to promoting the success and achievements of PCSC.
LaFaive’s passion for education is evident through her experience in the classroom. Over the past four years, she has taught a wide range of subjects, including English Language Arts in both Special Education and General Education, Introduction to Technology, Theater, Health, Physical Education, and STEAM (STEM with arts incorporated). She began her teaching career in the South Bend Community School Corporation at Dickinson Intermediate Fine Arts Academy and most recently taught 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts at Lincoln Jr. High School.
To complement her teaching experience, LaFaive holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Southern Indiana, which she obtained in 2019. She further pursued her academic journey and earned a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from Indiana University South Bend in 2021. LaFaive’s commitment to higher education extends beyond her own achievements, as she has served as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Public Speaking courses at Indiana University South Bend. Additionally, she holds a Professional Educator’s License in English Language Arts for grades 5-12, further demonstrating her expertise in the field of education.

In her new role as Director of Communications and Marketing, LaFaive aims to enhance the consistency and effectiveness of Plymouth Community School Corporation’s social media and website. She also intends to streamline communication processes within and among various departments. LaFaive is eager to showcase the outstanding accomplishments of PCSC’s talented students and dedicated staff, ensuring the community remains informed and engaged.
