Byers Resigns as Community Corrections Director

Marshall County Community Corrections Advisory Board met on July 6, for their quarterly meeting.

During the meeting, the Board accepted the resignation of Director Ward Byers. Byers is leaving to take a position within the Plymouth Community School Corporation.  His last day at Community Corrections is July 18, 2023.

The Advisory Board appointed Assistant Director Jill McKinney as Interim Community Corrections Director while the search for a new Director takes place.

Byers thanked the Board for their support and confidence over the past 10 years.

Board Chairman Dean Colvin thanked Byers for his tenure stating Marshall County Community Corrections is one of the best, if not the best programs in Indiana.

In other business, the Board heard reports on the Drug Court, Probation and reviewed the 2^nd quarter electronic monitoring report.
