Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Rieth Riley Construction will begin bridge deck overlay projects on U.S. 6 and State Road 106 near Bremen on or after this Friday, July 7.

Lane closures will begin on U.S. 6 over Stock Ditch between Jarrah Road and State Road 106 on or after July 7 for shoulder strengthening work. Flaggers will direct traffic when work is occurring. U.S. 6 will then be reduced to one lane with a temporary traffic signal directing traffic in this location on or after Monday, July 17.

State Road 106 will be closed over Middle Fork Yellow River between State Road 331/Plymouth Street and U.S. 6 on or after Monday, July 10. Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour will follow U.S. 6 and State Road 331.

Work will be ongoing at both locations through mid-October. INDOT urges drivers to stay alert near crews and be prepared to wait for the temporary traffic signal on U.S. 6. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time when driving through this area and should slow down and drive distraction-free through all work zones.
