Marshall County Sheriff presented Life Saving Awards to Dispatchers Morgan Hite and Bailey Richards on Wednesday, June 28th

Bailey Richards was on duty on December 13th, 2022, when a 911 call was placed to Marshall County’s Central Dispatch Center at approximately 2:27 p.m.  The call was for a 2-year-old child that was in an active seizure.  It was later believed that the child stopped breathing.  Bailey immediately notified the appropriate agencies and began life-saving instructions.  She continued giving CPR instructions until emergency units arrived.

On September 27th, 2022, at approximately 4:46 p.m. Dispatcher Morgan Hite answered the call of a 52-year-old male subject that was not breathing.  After notifying the appropriate agencies she gave the caller instructions for CPR.  Morgan continued with lifesaving instructions for the duration of the call when emergency units arrived on the scene.

Sheriff Matt Hassel said, “Bailey and Morgan remained calm throughout the emergency calls and provided outstanding pre-arrival instructions to both callers.  Their actions that day reflect great credit upon themselves and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.”
