A Plymouth man was lodged in the Marshall County Jail following a Domestic Battery incident on June 16th.
At about 7:00 pm last Friday, the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call that someone had been seen hitting a child in a car around North Michigan and West Jefferson Streets.
Plymouth Police officers were dispatched to the area and a Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy located the suspect vehicle at Michigan Road and Airport Road. A traffic stop was conducted and during the investigation by Officer Ayala with the Plymouth Police Department, it was discovered that twenty-one-year-old Caleb Belcher of the 1200 block of North Plum Street in Plymouth had battered a juvenile in the vehicle.
Belcher was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked for: Domestic Battery-against a Family Member less than fourteen years of age.
Belcher was released just after 2 p.m. on June 18th after posting a cash bond.
