Fish enthusiasts of all ages are invited to join Dr. Erika Martin on Tuesday, June 20th, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the REES Theatre in downtown Plymouth.
Attendees will dive into the world of fish and fish science, getting hands-on experience with preserved specimens. Dr. Martin will talk about her work as a research scientist, the variety of fish found in the local rivers and streams, and explore the relationship between fish features and their habitats.
Dr. Martin will include a discussion of fish species found in the Yellow River and a “build-a-fish” activity. And, if time allows and there’s interest, she will demonstrate how to seine the Yellow River.
For the younger participants, there will be a ‘build-a-fish’ craft activity and coloring pages. So, if you are interested in getting your feet wet in the world of fish and fish science, come to the REES on Tuesday at 2 pm!
Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Talking Fish with Dr. Erick Martin is a free event and is open to the public. Please visit reestheatre.com to reserve your seat.
