Saturday evening the first official event of the 2023 Marshall County Blueberry Festival happened in the Argos High School Auditorium as this year’s festival queen was crowned.
Cheyenne Noel Hawley, the 17-year-old daughter of Craig and Serena Hawley of Plymouth was crowned the 2023 Marshall County Blueberry Pageant queen. She was crowned by the 2022 Miss Blueberry, Rilynn Ames. Cheyenne Hawley will be a senior at Triton Junior/Senior High School in the fall.
There were 16 contestants from around the county that participated in this year’s scholarship pageant. Runners-up were Lydia Hall the 1st runner-up, and Olivia Shively the second runner-up. Miss Friendship was shared by Ruby Bickel and Lillian Hinderlider.
The First Lady of Plymouth, Leanne Senter was thanked for her 29 years of service to the Blueberry Festival, and Laura Mann, the Plymouth Promotion of the City Coordinator and Co-host of WTCA’s “What’s Your Opinion” show was the master of ceremonies.
