A traffic stop by Officer Lovely with the Plymouth Police Department on Saturday resulted in the arrest of a Plymouth man. 

Just after midnight on June 10th the Plymouth Officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Lincoln and Nursery Street after observing the vehicle disregard three separate stop signs.

During the officer’s investigation, it was found that the driver, Rafael Quintana-Romero, 31, of West Jackson Street in Plymouth was intoxicated.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Endangering, and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – over .15.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
