Plymouth High School Principal Jim Condon has announced the 2023 Commencement Ceremony.  Commencement will be held on Friday, June 9th beginning at 7:30 p.m. at The Rockpile.  Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no limit on the number of guests a graduate may have attending the ceremony.  

Mr. Condon also announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian. 

The Plymouth High School Valedictorian for the Class of 2023 is Ellie Catherine Jones. Ellie is the daughter of Derek and Lisa Jones.

Ellie ends her high school career with a grade point average of 4.14 on a 4-point scale.

In addition to meeting all local and state requirements for graduation, Ellie earned 59 college credits.

Throughout High School, Ellie participated in volleyball, basketball, and tennis.

Ellie served as an officer in the PHS National Honor Society. She participated in Future Teachers of America and student government. During her senior year, Ellie was a member of the IHSAA Student Advisory Committee.

Ellie was named Northern Lakes Conference and All-District for tennis. She was named Athlete of the Month by the Plymouth Booster Club. Ellie earned Academic All-State status for volleyball and basketball. Ellie ended her senior year by being inducted into the Plymouth High School Academic Hall of Fame by the mathematics and social studies departments.

Scholarships received by Ellie include the IHSAA Cato Scholarship, Dr. Guild Mental Attitude Scholarship, Eugene and Florence Stanley Scholarship, Barkmeier Research Scholarship, Marjorie Griffin Carothers Memorial Scholarship, Plymouth Firemen’s Memorial Scholarship, and the Butler University Merit Scholarship.

Ellie will attend Butler University where she will major in Biology on a Pre-Med track.

The Plymouth High School Salutatorian for the Class of 2023 is Mia Isabelle Treber. Mia is the daughter of Brandon and Billie Treber.

Mia leaves PHS with a grade point average of 4.12 on a 4-point scale.

In addition to meeting all local and state requirements for graduation, Mia earned 57 college credits. Mia participated in soccer throughout her high school career. She was elected team captain in her senior year. Mia was a member of the Executive Board for the PHS Riley Dance Marathon and served as President of Sunshine Society as a senior. Mia also participated in Art Club, Future Teachers of America, RDM, LEAD, and Spanish Club.

Mia earned numerous awards throughout high school. She was nominated as a Rising Star of Indiana academically. She was named Academic All Conference and Academic All-State for soccer. Mia earned All-State status as a player in Soccer and was named a Questbridge College Prep Scholar. Mia ended her high school career with her induction into the Plymouth High School Academic Hall of Fame by the PHS Weidner School of Inquiry Mathematics and science teachers.

Scholarships received by Mia include the Betty Heiser Scholarship, Eugene and Florence Stanley Scholarship, Morton Finney Leadership Award from Butler University, and the Butler University Merit Scholarship.

Mia will attend Butler University and major in biochemistry on the pre-medicine track.
