The Town of LaPaz is currently accepting financial donations for the new park they are putting in.
The LaPaz Park project is part of the Marshall County Stellar Grant that was awarded a couple of years ago. Town Clerk-Treasurer Lorraine Dove said, “That money will get the park started but the money only goes so far.”

The Troyer Group has been working with the Town of LaPaz to develop a park plan that will end up being in 3 stages. Only the first stage is paid through the grant funds and the community matching funds. The town will be putting in a new natural playground, updating the existing playground, new sidewalks, a new parking area, bathrooms, pickleball courts, sand volley, and landscaping in phase one.

Funds generated from vendor booth rentals from the June 10th Sesquicentennial Celebration will be going into the new park fund. The town is also taking donations for fireworks on the evening of June 10th and for Christmas lighting.
Donations may be mailed to or dropped off at the LaPaz Town Hall 108 east Randolph Street.
