Plymouth Fire Department’s Assistant Chief Chuy Garcia told GIANT fm WTCA that the department responded to two fires within an hour on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th

The Plymouth Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire in the 200 block of East Jefferson Street for a structure fire.  The property is owned by Milten Properties and the trailer sits between Dr. Stillson’s office and the Yellow River.  The trailer was fully involved when emergency responders arrived on the scene.   The fire was quickly knocked down and successfully extinguished but the structure was totally destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.  No injuries were reported.

At 3:05 p.m. fire crews were dispatched to 11377 Upas Road, the Roger and Sandra May property for a brush fire that got out of control.  The brush fire spread to a shed on the property and when emergency responders arrived on the scene the shed was fully engulfed. Firefighters worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames and prevent further damage.
