On Friday, May 26, at approximately 10:30 pm, Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a gray Ford Escape colliding with a tractor on U.S. 6, just west of Jarrah Road.
An investigation into the collision began and was determined that the driver of the Ford Escape was believed to be impaired.
The driver, 42-year-old Johnathan Heckaman, was transported to the Plymouth Hospital where he received a certified blood test as well as jail clearance. Once cleared from the hospital, Heckaman was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged on OWI-ACE .15 or more. He was issued a Court date of June 20 in Superior Court II and a cash bond of $1,500.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
