The Plymouth Kiwanis Club will be fundraising at the corner of Michigan and Jefferson Streets in downtown Plymouth this Friday and Saturday and at Walmart.

It’s time for their annual Peanut Days Fundraiser.  For the past couple of years, the fundraiser has expanded to not only include a small bag of peanuts but your choice of peanuts or gummi bears.

All money raised goes toward the Kiwanis’ mission of serving the children of the world. Projects funded, in whole or in part, by the fundraiser include college scholarships to local high school seniors, shoes and coats for children in need, and more.

The peanut sale is handled entirely by volunteers. No Kiwanian is ever paid to administer or participate in the program.

On Friday, May 19th from 2 to 6 p.m. at the 4-corners and Walmart and Saturday, May 20th from 10 a.m. to noon at the 4-corners and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Walmart, Kiwanis members will don special vests and place orange cones on Michigan and Jefferson Streets as they stand in the street to collect change and dollar bills in exchange for a small treat of a bag of peanuts or gummi bears.
