Tuesday afternoon city and county officials joined with community members in welcoming Lutheran Heath Physicians to Plymouth and Marshall County during their ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.

Connie Holzwart, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce welcomed guests and said, “It is wonderful to see this location once again contribute to the wellbeing of those in Plymouth and Marshall County.”

Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter opened his comments saying, “It’s another beautiful day in Plymouth Indiana.” He continued, “I’m so glad we are here today. This is grassroots economic development at its best.”
Commissioner Kevin Overmyer said they started meeting with Lynn Mergen from Lutheran last October. He said, “It’s a great day in Plymouth/Marshall County. Today is the pinnacle of Lutheran coming into Marshall County.”

Lynn Mergen, CEO of Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital said, “The purpose of Lutheran Health Network is to build enduring relationships and today’s mission is to bring us all together.” He said a team has been working for months to complete the building renovations, get technology put in, and find staff. Mergen told those in attendance that Lutheran plans to be an asset to Plymouth.
