Plymouth Police were dispatched to the Red Rock Inn on Saturday, April 22nd at 6 a.m. for a complaint of a Battery.  The alleged Battery had taken place at 2229 North Michigan Street, the Days Inn.

The female victim had fled the Days Inn and ran to the Red Rock to call 911.

After an investigation by Officer Fase,46-year-old Griffin Sterling who has a Lake Avenue address in Plymouth was located at the Days Inn. Griffin Sterling was placed under arrest and booked into the Marshall County Jail on charges of Domestic Battery and Trespassing.  He was released on Monday morning at 6:30 with NO JUDICIAL REVIEW. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
