Kathryn Park, MD, has been named the new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS). As a member of the executive leadership team, Dr. Park will work as a liaison with the medical staff, leading quality, performance and improvement initiatives. She will also set clinical performance expectations and establish best practice standards for the health system to ensure optimal outcomes and exceptional patient experience.

Dr. Park comes to SJHS with 20 years of experience practicing medicine, and has served the Michiana community since 2000. Most recently, she was the associate medical director for a management consulting firm specializing in healthcare utilization. Her work in clinical and administrative roles with the South Bend Clinic helped her develop an in-depth knowledge of our local healthcare community.

Dr. Park earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business. She received her bachelor’s degree in neurobiology from Northwestern University.

She is a board-certified pain specialist with a background in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
