On Friday, April 14th the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the area of 881 Lincolnway East, Addies Dog Grooming, about a suspicious silver passenger vehicle with a person inside illegally sleeping on the property.
Officer Vison arrived on the scene and observed the passenger vehicle attempting to leave the parking lot and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver was identified as Jason Goad, 36, of Tomahawk Trail in Plymouth. During the traffic stop, Marshall County dispatch advised that Jason Goad had an active Parole warrant through the state of Indiana.
Goad was transported to the Marshall County Jail without incident and booked in for an A misdemeanor of Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia, a Level 6 Felony for Possession of Methamphetamine, and the Parole Warrant. He was held with NO BOND on the warrant.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
