Last week the Culver Town Council approved three ordinances on the second and third readings for rezoning three parcels within the town limits.   

All three rezone requests were to change the property from a Residential-1 zone to a Residential-2 zone. The three properties were 114 Lakeshore Drive, 810 South Main Street, and 217 South Ohio Street. 

During the January 10th meeting of the Culver Town Council, Culver Town Manager Ginny Munroe said the Plan Commission approved all three rezonings with a letter of recommendation.

During the January 24th meeting the Town Council unanimously approved the rezoning request.

The Culver Town Council also made its annual appointments to various boards and commissions.  Appointments included Chester Gut to the Culver Plan Commission.  He was appointed by Town Council President Bill Cleavenger.  Mr. Cleavenger also appointed Andy Melschen to the Culver Board of Zoning Appeals while the Town Council appointed Barry McManaway.  Three members of the Culver Redevelopment Commission are appointed by the Town Board President.  Bill Cleavenger appointed Sara Jones, sally Ricciardi, and Gary Peric.  The Town Council had two appointments and they were Marty Oosterbaan and Tony Mayfield. These five appointments are for one year.

The Culver Town Council reappointed Paul Liette to the Culver-Union Township Public Library Board.   The Council reappointed Mike Stallings to the Culver Tree Commission and John Helphrey.
