Plymouth City Republicans converged on the Marshall County Clerk’s Office Wednesday morning to fill their intentions to run in this year’s municipal election.

At this point in time, John Grolich and Greg Compton will battle it out in the May Republican Primary for Mayor.

Lynn Gorski filed her paperwork to continue in the position of City Clerk/Treasurer.  Gorski has been in the position for a year after Jeannine Xaver resigned in December 2021.  She was elected to the position through a caucus.

Don Ecker Jr. is seeking another term for the City Council District #2 position.  He will be seeking a 4th term.

Randy Longanecker is seeking reelection for the City Council District #4 seat.

Two new Republicans have thrown their hats into the ring, Brian Bartlett owner of Pizza Bills in downtown Plymouth will seek one of the three City Council At-Large seats as will Brandon Richie who is a Communications Specialist with the Plymouth Public Library and Pastor and teacher at Grace Community Christian Church.

It’s anticipated that a couple more Republicans will be filing for the municipal election.  The Primary will be held on May 2nd.
