Last week, Marshall County Auditor Julie Fox told the commissioners that her staff and the treasurer’s staff are working to settle the property taxes for distribution to the taxing units.
The Marshall County Treasurer’s Office collected $27,380,279.59 in property taxes in the November collection. Fox said distribution is anticipated to be on December 16.
The Auditor said the annual compliance forms for nepotism, contract disclosure, and conflict of interest handled by individual department heads have been submitted. The commissioners acknowledge the acceptance of the forms, it is not their position to judge them and they are then filed with the Clerk’s Office and submit them on Gateway.
