Wednesday, the Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Todd Young for U.S. Senate. This is the Indiana State FOP’s first endorsement of a Republican for the U.S. Senate in over a decade.

The Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police represents more than 13,000 Hoosier police officers and endorsed Senator Todd Young for his strong support of law enforcement and policies that make Hoosier communities and neighborhoods safer.

“I am grateful to the Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police for endorsing my re-election to the U.S. Senate,” said U.S. Senator Todd Young. “In Washington, I am proud to fight for our law enforcement officers and make sure they have the resources they need to do their jobs safely while serving our families and communities. While Democrats continue to try and defund the police, I will always stand with our thin blue line. It’s an honor to represent our brave police officers who are willing to risk their lives to protect Hoosiers.”

“The Indiana FOP has worked with Senator Young to get results for Indiana’s law enforcement professionals on many legislative priorities. With his leadership, the Law Enforcement Mental Health Act and Wellness Act was signed into law in 2018 and the Fighting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder passed the Senate unanimously this year,”
said Bill Owensby, president of the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police. “He stands with Hoosier law enforcement as we stand to protect and serve Hoosiers. We’re proud to endorse him for re-election.”
