Bremen Police Arrested an Argos woman Tuesday afternoon.  She is lodged in the Marshall County Jail with multiple charges. 

At about 4:30 Tuesday Sergeant Matt Schnaible with the Bremen Police Department conducted a traffic stop at State Road 331 and 2B Road. 

The driver, 28-year-old Kaila Tapia of West Marshall Street in Argos was found to be Driving While Suspended with a prior suspension within 10 years.  During the investigation is discovered that Tapia was in Possession of Cocaine or a narcotic Drug, Possession of a Hypodermic Needle or Syringe, and Exceeding the Posted Speed Limit. 

Tapia also had a warrant for Escape, Failure to Appear for Possession of Meth, Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Identity Deception, Driving While Suspended, Possession of Paraphernalia, Failure to Signal, and Improper Taillights.   

Kaila Tapia is being held on a $4,510 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
