On Tuesday, September 20th at approximately 8:15 p.m. Officer Beatty with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Lemler Lane and Michigan Street on a vehicle operating without headlights.

The driver 22-year-old Alfredo Medina of Plymouth was taken into custody for operating without ever receiving a license. He was transported to Marshall County Jail.

Officer Weir with the Plymouth Police Department stopped a vehicle at Jefferson and Liberty Streets for a false plate on the vehicle he was driving. During the traffic stop it was found that the driver, 26-year-old Erlyn Sanchez-Perez of Plymouth never possessed a valid driver’s license.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Operating Without A License. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
