Marshall County Sheriff Matthew Hassel and Communications Supervisor Matthew Pitney recently presented the Life Saving Award to Turnkey/Dispatcher Kennedy Tennant.

On July 5, of this year the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a subject in the 400 block of Ewing Street in Plymouth reporting a female with chest pain which they believed was from tumors.

EMS was dispatched and the caller was instructed to call back if anything changed.  Prior to EMS arrival, Kennedy, who was assigned to Main Control and training in dispatch, answered a call back from the residence who advised the female had taken a turn for the worse and her lips were blue, and she was foaming at the mouth.

Kennedy Tennant ensured that CPR was initiated, being done properly, and updated EMS.  EMS arrived on the scene shortly after and the female was transported to the hospital.
