Last week members of the Plymouth Plan Commission approved the request of Lori and Mike Faylor to create a one-lot subdivision at 14030 11th Road.

Faylors told the commission they plan to build a home for their son on the 5-acre property their current home sits on.  They will create a 50-foot wide access lane to the lot that will sit back behind their home.

During the Public Hearing, neighbor Beth Noftsger asked if there will be an entrance to the home on the west side of the property and the Faylors said in the future.  They will use the existing drive on the east side of the property for the construction vehicles to get in to build the new home.

When asked why the “flag” shaped property, the Faylors said it was at the request of the county.

Construction of the new home will also require a permit from the County Health Department for the approval of the septic permit.

The Plymouth Plan Commission unanimously approved the minor subdivision by a 9 – 0.

In other business, the Plymouth Plan Commission approved an amendment to the Rules and Procedures for an attendance policy. If a member misses 3 consecutive meetings without explanation, the appointing authority will be contacted and shall consider if the member should be replaced.  The Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals also approved the amendment for an attendance policy.
