Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Lynn Gorski administered the Oath of Office to Justyn Wade, the newest member of the Plymouth Fire Department during Monday’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.

Fire Chief Steve Holm said Justyn started full-time on August 28th.  He’s been a volunteer with the department for some time and came to Plymouth as a full-time firefighter with the Southwest Fire Department in South Bend.

Following the swearing in Wade’s wife Kayla pinned his badge on him.

Chief Holm also gave an update on the department’s activities during the Blueberry Festival.  They had 48 refusals and 8 transported to the hospital.  Three paramedics worked a total of 35 hours in the park and Tri-County assisted with transports when the city was busy.  They also receive EMT help from Plymouth EMS, Union North United and Tippecanoe.
