David’s Courage in Plymouth is a faith-based residential program for men recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. The facility opened in February 2020.

On Tuesday afternoon Indiana State Senator Stacey Donato honored founders Gregg and Kelly Erickson with Distinguished Hoosier Awards.

The couple was honored at the request of a close friend, Jon VanDerWeele of Argos for their hard work and determination in getting the facility up and ready to open and offering a program that is not only needed in the county and state but nationally.

The Distinguished Hoosier Award is one of the highest tributes given out by the State of Indiana to its citizens.  It is solely granted at the discretion of the Governor to Hoosiers who have uniquely brought admiration and respect to the state through their character and accomplishments.

Attending the short ceremony was attended by a few Erickson family members, several board members, and the men living in the facility.
