Monday evening the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety opened bids for the Wastewater Treatment Plant solar project. 

Two companies provided quotes for the project, Solar Energy Systems from Nappanee and Retro Tech Systems from Valparaiso.  Solar Energy Systems presented a quote of $1,017,792 while Retro Tech Systems had a quote of $993,514.

Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson said the engineer’s estimate for the project was $994,560. 

The bids were taken under advisement for review by Davidson and Telamon Energy, the project developer.  It’s anticipated that a recommendation will be made at the August 8th city meeting.

It’s anticipated the project will be completed in December.
